Review - Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm
When I decided to start this blog, I knew I wanted to share some of my favorite products; ones that truly deserve the recognition. The first one to come to mind is a classic- the Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm.
As you will very quickly learn, I am a bit obsessed with lip products. Whenever I find myself in Ulta, Sephora, or even Target, I can't help but check them out. Seriously, somebody should probably restrain me for the sake of my bank account. My lip products are quite literally overflowing from their designated drawer.
Clearly, I've tried my fair share of lip balms, glosses, tints, etc. I can confidently tell you that the Summer Fridays balm is one of the best I have tried for numerous reasons.
When you uncap the balm, you are hit with a delectable scent. Each flavor has its own scent; all of which are delicious. I have tried the Vanilla, Vanilla Beige, and my personal favorite- the Pink Sugar. The Pink Sugar balm smells like heaven- or more realistically, I suppose- birthday cake. Once you lather it on your lips, the bliss of the aroma lasts for a few minutes before fading, unlike with other lip balms I have tried. I have never been more thankful that the nose is so close to the lips.
The application process itself provides a sense of luxury. Seriously, the applicator feels like a spa day for your lips. It is a clear plastic piece on the top of the balm designed with a curve to perfectly fit the lip. While it feels firm and reliable, the applicator is actually bendable (which has recently come as a shock to the social media makeup girlies). Because of its flexibility, it provides the utmost comfort compared to other products with similar applicators.
Perhaps the best feature of the product is its longevity. This keeps my lips hydrated and smooth for hours at a time. I typically only reapply after eating or when approaching hour 4 or 5. When I do reapply, it feels like my lips have taken a big gulp of water.
While the product is on the pricier side for a lip balm ($24 at Sephora or on the Summer Friday's website), the quality of the product makes it more than worth it. Nothing else can compare. For example, while the Tree Hut Sugarlips Lip Butter is only about $6 at Ulta and Target, it does not hydrate, smell, or last nearly as well as the Summer Friday's. Additionally, it is available in 7 different shades, while competitors typically only have 1-4 shades available.
I promise you, this lip balm is worth the investment. Once you try it there is no turning back. I refuse to leave home without Pink Sugar in my bag. Even if you aren't ready to try it out yet, at least stop and smell it next time you're at Sephora.
I've seen so much about these lip balms on my social media pages. I definitely think they are more successful and selling out because of social media, specifically TikTok.
ReplyDeleteThese lip balms are sooooo worth it! definitley higher in price but i have never had used a lip balm that is so smooth. I love the vanilla one so much and the pink sugar one is a close second for me!
