Review - The Ordinary Soothing & Barrier Support Serum
Skincare is a crucial part of cosmetics; you can't have good makeup without skincare. I figured it's about time to post a skincare review, so here we go.
Serum is an essential step in your skincare routine. One should choose a serum that targets their main skincare concern. I have been using a barrier serum for the last few months, and I have noticed some improvement in my skin's overall appearance.
I currently use The Ordinary's Soothing & Barrier Support Serum. This product came out just a few months ago, and I have been eager to try it out. When I realized my previous serum was empty, I ran to Ulta to pick this one up.
I will be honest, the main reason I wanted to try this serum was because it is pink. The product comes out pink and blends into the skin completely clear. As a pink girlie, I was so excited about this. While the color definitely adds some pizzazz to my daily skincare routine, I quickly realized this serum was so much more than just its fun color.
Prior to this serum, I used the barrier serum from cocokind. Don't get me wrong, the cocokind serum is a very good product, however I can feel a huge difference between the two serums on my skin. The one from The Ordinary feels so much thicker and richer. I can genuinely feel it absorbing into my skin, and I can tell it is doing something. The cocokind serum did not nearly provide me with the same feeling when it hit my skin.
I purchased this serum about two weeks ago, and I can already feel an overall difference in my skin. I feel like my skin is a little bit softer and smoother.
The product comes with a dropper applicator. I simply place three drops on my face, one on my forehead and one on each cheek, and lightly blend it into my skin. I apply this in both the morning and the evening. I have truly never felt a serum that feels so nice to apply. I can practically feel it repairing my skin barrier with each application.
Perhaps the best part about this serum is its reasonable price point. The Ordinary Soothing & Barrier Support Serum is available at Ulta, Sephora, and on The Ordinary's website for $17. While I will admit that this is not the cheapest serum on the market, it is a more reasonable price than a lot of other barrier serums. For example, the one from cocokind is $22.
I promise you, this serum is 100% worth it. It has already worked wonders for my skin. Try it for yourself, and add some pink to your routine.
I have always been a big lover for skin scare but ever since we came back from winter break I have been getting lazy when it comes to keeping up with my skin care routine. Seeing your reviews on products I have been keeping my eye on makes me want to get back into it, I never have really used a serum before but I will definetly try them out now. Specially The Ordinary one since I feel like every tiktoker has been posting about it lately.
ReplyDeleteI have used other serums from The Ordinary before but have yet to try this one. I sometimes have a hard time deciding on which serums are worth it because there's so many to choose from and they each have a specific purpose. I do think that The Ordinary line of skincare is very affordable and also pretty good quality, so I might have to try this one out! Thanks for sharing!
