Review - ColourPop Super Shock Shadow
I'll be honest, I'm not a huge eyeshadow girlie. While I love a snazzy eye look every once in a while and will sometimes pop on a nice neutral, it hasn't really been a big part of my everyday routine.
I went through a phase a few years ago where I wore a light shimmer eyeshadow on the daily, and although that phase may have died down a little, my love for the product itself definitely has not. While it may not be an everyday staple anymore simply out of preference for a more natural look, the ColourPop Super Shock Shadows are absolutely a go-to when I'm feeling a little more glam.
I actually started out using a different shimmery shadow, which was unfortunately discontinued. I tried a few others, but nothing filled the whole in my heart and the sadness of my eyelids until I picked up a ColourPop Super Shock Shadow.
What I love about these eyeshadows is that they add a little bit of sparkle to a look without screaming glitter. It provides a good balance of soft and fun, adding a little pop to any makeup look. If you are feeling more of a glam look, it's buildable and can create as much glitter as your heart desires.
These eyeshadows come in a very wide range of shades. There is quite literally one to match any outfit or makeup look. The ColourPop website lists 76 shades, covering every color of the rainbow and more. Personally, I have multiple shades including Sail Away, Frog, Ritz, Bubbly, Tassel, and my favorite one of all, Ladybird. Ladybird is described on the website as "soft ivory with multi-dimensional silver glitter." It accentuates almost any look and is definitely my go to.
The product wears very well and produces minimal fallout (glitter particles falling on the rest of your face, if you didn't know). It stays on very well, especially when paired with the ColourPop Party Proof Long-Wearing Eye Primer. It is easy to apply with a brush and even with a finger.
The ColourPop Super Shock Shadows are definitely a high-quality product. These are my favorite shimmery eyeshadows I have every tried, and trust me, I've tried a lot. To make an already great product even better, each eyeshadow is only $7, and they tend to last a decent amount of time.
Run, don't walk, to Ulta, Target, or the ColourPop website to snatch some of these eyeshadows up. These are seriously one of my favorites. Super affordable and adorable, you can't go wrong.
Hi Kailyn! I'm with you in the fact that I don't wear eyeshadow very often. However, I used to wear it a lot more when I had to cheer at sporting events in high school and these ColourPop shadows were always a go-to! And on top of that, I felt like mine lasted forever, would definitely second your recommendation!
ReplyDeleteI love all ColourPop products! I've been using their concealer for a couple months now! They're really good products for the price! I'll definitely have to check out these eyeshadows!
